On the day before Mother’s Day, my partner says that she wants to pack up our tiny car and catch the ferry for Lopez Island for the night. “Grab the tent and some boots and raingear,” she yells to us. Behind her back, we grin and wink at each other about just how cool of a mom we have before us. What a great trip.
I love this woman.
Happy Mother’s Day Jessie.
You exemplify the maternal nurturing that is needed for rearing self reliant a child. Consistently, you have instilled, in Jake, what it means to be personally responsible and grateful our for world and community which can be easily lost to the false conveniences of technology and the spoils of American luxuries.
