I didn’t know quite what to expect…. I had never been to anything closely related to a cabaret show. I was VERY entertained to say the least. These girls have talent, and the acts are funny and fresh and appropriately edgy. If you ever get a chance to see them, I highly recommend. The intimate Spark Museum of Electrical Invention was the perfect venue and walking around through the museum, even after hours, showed me that I have been missing out on an awesome downtown Bellingham experience!
Furthermore, the musical interludes were performed by Bar Tabac, (only 2 out of the 3 members were present the night I was there.) That was the swankiest ultra lounge gypsy jazz music I’ve ever seen live. I instantly became a groupie.
Ow, and at the end of the post, you will notice we had a fun little impromptu photoshoot in the back alley afterwards. Good times!
Jim GranackWhat a great show it must have been. The pictures sent to me tell it all. Nice job guys–and gals
GreatYup, you’ve sure come a long way, baby. Egads, aren’t we done with burlesque yet, so that women can be just people and not objects at some point this millenium?
The ProvocateursYo, GREAT. Have you been to one of our shows? You would know that you are greatly misinformed about this so-called typical “burlesque” group. We bright forward gender and sexuality issues through movement, not just cute girls on stage for attention; we have a mission! Come and see us. Be provoked and surprised. Leave inspired. <3 The Provocatuers
